João Kopke brings together surfing, travel and storytelling through exploring different places around the world, spending time in the water, and documenting life around the ocean. His work connects surf sessions with the places he visits, focusing on the experience of each destination rather than performance, and sharing a simple and honest perspective of surf culture as he moves between waves, people, and landscapes
Sirikit lives close to the ocean, where surfing, movement and yoga are just part of her everyday life. She keeps things simple, staying active, spending time in the water and moving regularly, bringing a calm and grounded energy to the people around her. She’ll be joining the Sri Lanka week as co-host alongside João Kopke, adding her presence and perspective to the overall experience.
During the week, you’ll surf different spots along Sri Lanka’s south coast, based in Ahangama, one of the most well-known surf towns in the country. The area has a relaxed surf lifestyle, with a mix of local surf culture and travellers from around the world in and out of the water. Alongside daily surf sessions, there’s time to explore the coastline, discover nearby breaks, and experience some of the most scenic spots Sri Lanka has to offer.
Our surf house in Ahangama, Sri Lanka, close to the beach and some of the best surf spots on the south coast, offers private and shared rooms designed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. You’ll enjoy welcoming communal spaces where guests gather to share meals, relax, and connect after a day in the water, with easy access to local cafés, restaurants, and the tropical surroundings of Sri Lanka’s south coast.
This is a hosted surf week in Ahangama, Sri Lanka, built around daily surf sessions, exploring different spots along the south coast, and sharing time in the water with João Kopke & Sirikit. The week is structured but relaxed, allowing space to surf, explore the coastline, and experience the rhythm of life in Sri Lanka beyond the surf.
This is a small group experience where days naturally revolve around surf sessions, shared meals, and time spent together around the house and in the water. The focus is on keeping things simple, spending more time outside, and connecting through surf and travel.
Sirikit will be joining the week in Ahangama as a host, guiding daily yoga sessions designed specifically to support surf travel and active days in the water. Her approach is simple and accessible, focusing on mobility, breath, and recovery, helping participants stay balanced and comfortable throughout the week. The sessions take place in a calm, open environment surrounded by Sri Lanka’s coastal nature, creating space to slow down, reset, and connect with the rhythm of the trip between surf sessions, excursions, and time spent exploring the island.
