Gota Dagua Surf Camps in Portugal, Morocco & Sri Lanka
GOTA DAGUA SURF
Your surf journey starts here
Surf has a way of changing how you see yourself and the world around you. At Gota Dagua surf camps, the experience goes far beyond learning how to surf. It’s about sharing waves, pushing personal limits, and becoming part of a community built around the ocean. People arrive from different places, with different levels, and leave with stronger skills, real connections, and a deeper relationship with the sea.
Our houses, our team, our standards.

Frequently asked questions
Is it good for solo travellers?
It’s one of the best things you can do as a solo traveller. Around 40-50% of our guests arrive alone. The camp format, shared meals, group surf lessons, evening activities, makes it incredibly natural to meet people. The pre-arrival WhatsApp group even lets you connect before you arrive. Most solo guests leave with friends for life.
Can I work remotely during the week?
Yes, all camps have WiFi and quiet areas where you can work. Morocco has a dedicated co-working space on the rooftop with sea views. Portugal and Sri Lanka have chilling areas suitable for working. We do gently encourage a digital detox where possible, most guests find they work better after a morning surf session anyway!
What surf level do I need?
Zero experience is completely fine, we welcome everyone from total beginners to advanced surfers. We use a beginner / intermediate / advanced system and our instructors assess you in the first session to make sure you’re in the right group. Experienced surfers who don’t need lessons can free surf or join guided sessions to explore local breaks.
What if I'm afraid of the ocean or water?
We work with you completely at your own pace. Nobody is ever forced into anything. We’ve helped many guests who arrived nervous or even fearful of the ocean to have a breakthrough experience by the end of the week. Just let us know before your first lesson so your instructor can give you extra attention and go at the right speed for you.
How many students per instructor?
